Foundation history:
Our first production of semi-automatic washing machines started in 2009 in Kanev city, Ukraine. Up today, washing machines produced by KTD Cherkasy, are still popular among all residents of small towns and villages.
After successful start-up of washing machines project, KTD Cherkasy took a decision to invest in development of new categories of home appliances. Later on, such projects as electric kettles, food dryers, hand mixers, fan heaters, meat grinders – were launched. Along with small home appliances, KTD Cherkasy took a decision to make extra investments in development of white goods. Thus, in 2015, new factory in Cherkasy city was purchased to produce different kind of white goods and small home appliances containing metal parts, such as refrigerators, electric ovens, convector heaters, standing fans, metal electric kettles. In manufacturing process, both factories use most modern and advanced equipment with active participation and control of leading Chinese engineers.
KTD Group's household appliances plant in Cherkasy will start work in late March
KTD Group, specializing in imports and production of household appliances (Saturn, Laretti, ST, Defiant brands), plans in March 2017 to begin production at a new plant in Cherkasy, which at the first stage will manufacture ovens and plans within a year to start production of refrigerators and convection heaters.
"We are opening a plant in Cherkasy at the end of March. Now we are installing and testing equipment, we'll manufacture ovens. In summer we'll run a large refrigerator factory," president of the company Oleksandr Hromyko said.
He noted the company has a plant in Kaniv, which makes Kupava washing machines, as well as heaters, fruit dryers, electric kettles, blenders under the Saturn trademark and other brands, and it is planned in March to start production of meat grinders.
The factory's products are sold in Ukraine (in particular, in Auchan hypermarkets) and are available in Hungary, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and when a representative office opened in Dubai (the UAE) - in Africa.
KTD Group has been operating in the market of household appliances for 20 years. It is a large supplier of household appliances under different brands in the European market.
According to its website, for this period the company opened offices in 15 countries, including in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates) and Tunisia.
